Hold the tooth by the crown (the white part). Do not touch the root. If dirty, rinse gently with water. Try to place it back in the socket or keep it in a small container of cold milk. Come to us immediately!

Clean the area gently with a damp cloth and apply a cold compress to minimize swelling. If there is heavy bleeding that doesn't stop with 15 minutes of direct pressure, call us or visit the nearest ER.

Rinse the mouth with warm salt water. Gently use dental floss to remove any food trapped between teeth. Apply a cold compress to the outside of the cheek. Never put aspirin directly on the gums or tooth.
